Hope-The Story of God’s Promise for All People
Begins Friday, August 28, 7:45pm at the Chinese Church
Would you like to get a good overview of the story of God's love for us which is told in the Holy Bible? Cathy & Ben Bidelspach will teach an introduction to the Holy Bible class which will begin this Friday, August 28, 7:45-9:15pm, at the State College Chinese Alliance Church, located at 1107 William Street on Easterly Parkway. The title of this class is "Hope-The Story of God’s Promise for All People." It is an intermediate level English class.
We will watch a short video and then discuss it in English. This class is a great introduction and overview of the Bible for those who never had an opportunity to read it. This will class will be held on Friday evenings following the American English class at the Chinese Church, and will continue throughout this semester.
Rides are provided from the Pattee Library between 5:45-6:00pm to the Chinese Church for the American English class. Following the American English class a Chinese meal will be provided for those who wish to stay for this English Bible class or the Chinese Fellowship and Chinese Bible studies. We will also provide rides for you to return home or to campus following these classes. The Life of Jesus Christ
Begins Friday, September 18, 9:30-11:00am at Park Forest Baptist Church
Do you know who Jesus is and what he did for you? This is an easier level ESL Bible study taught by Cathy Bidelspach. It is a great class for those who never studied the Bible previously and who want to improve their English skills. In this class we will study the Gospel of Mark, a short book in the New Testament in the Holy Bible which tells the story of Jesus Christ in a way that is exciting and easy to understand.
This class will continue throughout the semester on Friday mornings, 9:30-11:00am, at the Park Forest Baptist Church, located at 3030 Carnegie Drive. Rides will be provided, but you must contact Cathy at bxb29@psu.edu or call 814-867-5147(h) or 814-574-4807(c) for a ride.
