Hello CSA!!!

Hi! My name is Sara, I am a freshman here at Penn State and just wanted to let everyone in CSA
know that I thought that your Caribbean Experience was great! My friends
and I traveled to St. Kitts over spring break, and I completely fell in love with the island
and the people. I have spent a good deal of my life outside of the United States,
but I never imagined this trip would have been such an eye-opening experience.
While there, we were lucky to make so many new friends
and I'm proud to say that we've kept in contact since returning to Penn State.
I feel the citizens of St. Kitts were both welcoming and genuine, which unfortunately can be overlooked at times in Pennsylvania.

I also felt that Dr. Fraser's words rang very true when he said that the Caribbean is much more than just sun,
sand, and sea. I'll admit that we did stay at a resort.
However, I'm pleased to say we spent most of the week outside of the hotel with our new friends and had the opportunity to enjoy the local lifestyle.
This was definitely the way to go and I don't think our trip would have been nearly as fun if we wouldn't have met so many amazing people!
The only regret was that we didn't have time to make it to Nevis, but this is just another reason why I can't wait until I have the next chance to go back!

St. Kitts holds a special place in my heart and I'm eager to experience the rest of the Caribbean!
I truly respect and appreciate everything your organization stands for, and as a fan of the islands
I would be more than willing to help out in any way I can.
Thank you again for the opportunity to share your culture with my friends and I, it couldn't have come at a better in the semester!
Take care,
Sara
