Circle K International is the world's largest collegiate coed service organization. However, It is more than just a volunteer service organization. CKI holds the promise of today's college student becoming tomorrow's leader, and exists to meet the personal growth needs of the individual collegian through the qualities of leadership, the rewards of service, and a unique spirit of friendship. Simply stated, the objective of its members is to provide altruistic service to the campus and community while having fun, building long-lasting friendships, and developing leadership skills.
Penn State Student Organization of the Year
Circle K at Penn State, University Park, works to provide exciting service opportunities on campus, in State College, and surrounding areas. With weekly projects at the State College Food Bank, Young Scholars Afterschool Program, and Kid's Club, members have a chance to work volunteering into their regular schedule. However, we also have many other projects on weekends and during the week. Some of these projects include fundraisers at football games, activity days at the children's library, craft parties with disabled adults, and more. As an organization, we get involved in PSU events like Homecoming, THON, and Relay for Life. There are also opportunities to travel and meet Circle K members from around the state when we travel to district events. Our club has about 30 dues paid members this year, and more are always welcome! To be an active member, you need to attend meetings, pay $40 in dues for the whole year, and complete 15 hours of service with us each semester. While there are benefits to being an active member (including access to our office in the HUB and reduced costs for traveling to events) you DO NOT have to be an active member to do service with us or come to our meetings!
