A brief introduction is in order....

Our History and Vision
Veritas is the Latin word for truth. We chose this as a name for a group because it our desire to show the truth of Jesus to Penn State and beyond. Veritas started at Penn State in Spring of 2001. Since then, we have moved from meeting on campus to our own location downtown, the Upper Room, We are a registered student group at Penn State, and our meetings are open for all to attend.

We are a satellite congregation of State College Assembly of God, and we are affiliated with Chi Alpha Campus Ministries, which is the national college ministry of the Assemblies of God.

It is our desire to see God change the lives of Penn State students, and impact the spiritual climate on campus. We want to provide students with opportunities for honest relationships with God and each other, passionate worship, life-changing discipleship, and Spirit-led evangelism. We believe that God has great things in store for this generation, and we want to be part of what He’s doing.
