Meeting Minutes for Wednesday, October 1

Hey everyone!

Wednesday's meeting started promptly at 5:30pm. The things discussed are below:

Ag Hill Olympics- Our team placed 13th out of 23 teams. It was the largest
turnout for the Olympics they've ever seen! Good job

Sign-out sheets for:
Expanding your Horizons--this is the event of doing strawberry DNA
extractions and cheek cell viewing for young kids on Saturday, Oct. 25th.
Time TBA. If you didn't sign up, you can get in touch with an officer and
we'll sign you up....we need to know by this Friday so we can send in the
volunteer list.

The Amazing Race Activity--we're going to host a race like the TV show "The
Amazing Race" for science clubs on campus. We'll have an order for events
and "detour" activities just like the show. If you want to help plan and
didn't get on the sign-up sheet, email me (kara, klm447) and let me know.
We're going to try to get the event set for later this semester.

Fundraising committee--you can still volunteer to be on the Fundraising
committee! Volunteers are appreciated!

There will soon be a newswire for Eberly Student Council and we'll give you
more info on that when we hear about it.

Next week's article discussion will be on a video of cognitive
neuropsychology (the link is below). The discussion will be next Wednesday
at 5:30 pm in Life Sciences Building room 301D (same as general meetings).
