3. BIODAYS is this Saturday! It’s in Osmond from 10am-3pm, and our club is presenting the activity of DNA isolation. We need people to volunteer, so if you could spare some time this Saturday just stop on by Osmond. Our table is located in the lobby, first one on the left. It will be lots of fun!!

4. Our next meeting will be on April 25. We will hold officer elections during this meeting; and instead of having a speaker we will be watching the movie Gattaca.

Next Week's Meeting

Hey All!

Our next meeting is next Wednesday, April 11 at 6:00 PM in 301D Life
Sciences Building. The speaker will be Merve Yoder from the Department of
Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Indiana University School of
Medicine (he does stem cell research!). Check out his website at the link
below:

Guess what have finally arrived?!?! T-SHIRTS!!!! :) They look GREAT! If
you can get to Wednesday's meeting a little early we can distribute the
shirts before the meeting. Otherwise you'll have to wait until the end of
the meeting to get them.

It seems like the semester just started, but we're back to officer
nominations again! Remember that in order to run for an officer position
you must have attended 5 meetings this semester and have accumulated 2
hours of non-meeting hours (journal discussion, t-shirt designs, volunteer
fair). We are having another journal discussion before elections, plus
there is still BioDays--if you still need outside hours (or if you want to
be cool and have fun volunteering with the club). We will announce the
journal article at this Wednesday's meeting (it will also be on the
website), and you will also have the chance to sign up for BioDays.

I will compile a list of members/outside hours/attendance, and make
photocopies for the next meeting, so that you can see if you are eligible
to run for an office. It appears that some of you are on the border line
and must come to this coming meeting and/or participate in some outside
hours to be eligible.

**You must have 5 meetings after this coming meeting! Elections will be
two weeks after.
