Candidacy Requirements

The following are the requirements to be initiated into Beta Alpha Psi. We do not harass students during the candidacy process.

The candidacy requirements for initiation are as follows:

1. The candidate process must be completed in 1 academic semester

2. Each candidate must attend 7 pledge meetings and 5 professional meetings

3. Each candidate must participate in 3 community service events (1 must be THON related)

4. Each candidate is responsible for participating in the pledge class fundraiser

5. Each candidate must pay all dues prior to initiation (~ $110 one time fee…you don’t have to pay every semester)

6. Candidates must maintain a 3.2 in Business related courses

7. Candidates must have completed/in the process of completing 5 entrance-to-major classes, one of which must be ACCTG 211

8. Candidates must be 3rd semester standing

Please Note: Candidates are encouraged to participate in more Beta Alpha Psi activities than just these requirements. Those who show outstanding involvement will be inducted as Distinguished Members, and will be recognized at the Spring Banquet.
