Competition Style Ballroom The dances we teach are Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Viennese Waltz, Tango, Jive, Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba, and Paso Doble. Where to Dance Ballroom LateNight Penn State Through out the semester we hold ballroom lessons during LateNight Penn State on certain weeks. These events include instruction in a ballroom style followed by open dancing. Sometimes we have professional instructors come in to teach a lesson or workshop. Central Pennsylvania Dancing is held one Sunday a month at the Elks Club in Boalsburg, PA by the Central Pennsylvania Ballroom Dancers Association For Ballroom Dance lessons for Beginners at the YMCA, call the State College YMCA at 237-7717 for more information. Harrisburg/York/Lancaster Area The York White Rose Chapter of USA Dance, Inc. (formerly USABDA) holds a dance on the third Friday of every month at the Alert Fire Hall on North George Street in Emigsville, Pennsylvania. Both singles and couples are welcome to these dances, and you will find that dancers of all ages and ability levels attend. There is an admission price of $8.00 for members, $5.00 for students with an ID, or $10.00 for guests. The evening begins with one hour concurrent dance lessons for either beginner or intermediate dancers. The area's top DJ’s then take the stage to provide three hours of superior dance music for your enjoyment. Dress-casual attire is perfectly appropriate.
