The meeting started out with a round of Let's Take a Look at All of the Free Stuff That's Given Away at Astronomy Conferences! In which, Brian described his experiences at the recent AAS conference. The club as a whole would like to thank Brian for his generosity in giving away hordes of free stuff that he picked up at the conference. After that, a movie was briefly, but half-heartedly debated, and then we moved on to an impromptu and interactive game of Astronomy Hangman, in which everybody played a part (fun ensues).

For those of you who were not able to make last Friday's meeting, (or for those of you who were just having too much fun to pay attention), the minutes are as follows:
First, this semester's club activities were discussed. It was suggested that the club try to get one of the PSU professors who is working with the Swift project to give a presentation. After that, the evening's events really took off. Christeallia provided us with a riveting (and hilarious) game of walk the sun and or star down the curvy sidewalk/dragon. After much playful yet engagingly competitive competition, it ended up that the sun was much better at ambling down that sinusoidal path. Then came the Lightning Round, and in it, there was much mirth and rejoicing to see the game continue (at least on my behalf there was). After that, some minor discrepancies were settled involving some statistical anomalies and a magic handbag. Then the meeting was adjourned, and again there was much rejoicing. The next meeting will be held on February the third. Until then: Never give up, never surrender.
