Student Council Activities

Ag Student Council sponsors several annual events including:

●           Distinguished Speaker Series: The series brings speakers to the College to share experiences and ideas on a variety of topics in the fields of agricultural & natural sciences and agribusiness.

●          Ag Hill Olympics: Held each fall, students from all College of Ag clubs bring their own event and a team to compete in a day filled with games of skill and "semi-athletic" activities.

●          Ag Mushroom Stand: This is Ag Students Councils main fundraiser, which occurs during Ag Progress Days, held each August at Penn State's Rock Springs agricultural facilities.

●          Ag Day: Ag Day is a time for the College of Ag clubs and organizations to inform non-agricultural individuals of the university the impact that agriculture has on everyday life.

             Our club also organizes new college-wide activities each year and strives to assist the College's agricultural student clubs & organizations with publicizing and organizing club activities. Our bi-weekly Ag Student Council meetings provide a forum for representatives from each College club to present updates on their club activities; representatives then pass this information on to the members of their own clubs. In addition to our function as a communication forum, Ag Student Council members also combine efforts to represent student interests in the College and create original professional development, social, and community service events that serve the students of the College of Agricultural Sciences and the Penn State community.
