The proposed project seeks to provide gainful employment opportunities to marginalised groups (mainly women and the handicapped) through skill training in bamboo craft and wood work.

The proposal was received by AID-State College on August 21, 1999 through Venkatesh Iyer.
Venkatesh Iyer had suggested that atleast one other chapter review the proposal with us (as it is for a relatively big amount). The new AID-San Diego chapter will be jointly reviewing this project with AID-PSU.
