complete green event. All the disposable items are compostible and all the waste are handed over to the State College Borough for composting at the end of the event.
This year part of the proceed of the food festival will go to the
House of Care as our appreciation to the local community without whom we could not have created this wonderful tradition of the food festival!
This annual spring event, which, was started in 1999 has become an
AID-Penn State Tradition. In an amazingly united effort, almost every
member of the Indian community of Central Pennsylvania participates in
preparing food for the 500 guests who attend Taste of India every
year. Student volunteers take care of the logistics of the event in a
terrific show of team work.
