Here is a collection of articles written by "Saathis" and other members of AID. AID volunteers Ravi Kuchimanchi, Balaji Sampath, L.S.Aravinda and Venkatesh Iyer decided to go back to India and work full-time in Indian villages. They have expanded the role of AID in different directions and made us aware of the broader problems and issues.

Ravi and Aravinda returned to India in 1998. They are based in Srikakulam in Andhra Pradesh and Mumbai. They work with a number of NGOs and have been involved in a number of social issues.

Balaji Sampath graduated with a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of Maryland, College Park in 1997. He returned to India in Sept 1997, a month after securing his doctorate. Established rapport with people in the Nemeli block of villages and the Tamil Nadu science movement by living in the villages. He is playing an active role in All India People Science Network's Hundred  Blocks Plan, that targets 10000 villages.
