The idea of the Run for India Campaign is to raise money while training for a marathon/half-marathon race to support projects undertaken by AID. The runners look to pass the ultimate test of human endurance by running a marathon. The donors keep them motivated by supporting sustainable and equitable development in India.

We
are training to run the 2009 Philadelphia Marathon on November 22,
2009. Team Run For India is committed to providing guidance
and
support to
each runner in the program to help go the full distance. Individuals of
all levels of fitness will find company as The Team consists of members
with varying abilities, from beginners who just got off the couch to
rookie athletes who have participated in shorter races. By November 22,
our goal is to ensure that every runner on our team will be fit enough
to run a long distance race of their choice.
