What is the American Helicopter Society? The American Helicopter Society is a professional society dedicated to the advancement of vertical flight technology and its useful application throughout the world. The Penn State student chapter is one of the largest student chapters in the country, with over 50 active members (due in large part to our Vertical Lift Research Center of Excellence). Our chapter membership consists mainly of Aerospace Engineering majors, but anyone with an interest in vertical flight technology can join. Faculty Advisor: Dr. Ed Smith. |
