Greetings Ad Club,

I hope you all have had a great summer and are having a great first week of the school year! We have a very exciting schedule of events this year and I can’t wait to get started.

My name is Kelly Miller and I will be your new president for this upcoming school year. The new Ad Club Executive Board and I wanted to be the first to welcome you back for the fall semester and tell you a little bit about what you can expect to come in the near future.

But first, some accolades are in order. Congratulations to Nittany Group and their AAF 4th place finish last year with their Anti-Binge Drinking campaign. Also, another congrats goes out to all of those who recently graduated in this past year. We wish you the best of luck at your new jobs or ongoing job searches. Please make sure to keep us posted on your new jobs and contact information. We hope to see some of you back at our events in the near future!

Now, on to the 2009-2010 school year. I said we had an exciting schedule of events. This year we are going to mix in a little more fun and social events while still keeping the important professional ones. For instance, this year Ad Club is going to walk in the Homecoming Parade, host a hayride event, hold a fundraiser, etc. We will also have important professional events like the Ogilvy and MarcUSA recruitment events, a look into the magazine industry, and a trip to tour a few advertising agencies in Pittsburgh.

I believe this will be a great year packed with many fun and professional events to take advantage of and I can’t wait to see you all at our first event this Monday!
