***** The Nittany Group's core and extended team has already been selected for 2007-2008.  But please come back next year to apply for 2008-2009! *****

Application Process for the Nittany Group Advertising Team

Students interested in participating on Penn State's team for the AAF National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC) must be paid members of Penn State's AdClub and enrolled students in the university.  Once selected our team will begin to meet regularly in the fall to research this year's product/service, AOL, and its competition, identify potential problem areas and devise a completely integrated communications campaign that will be pitched before a panel of judges at the district competition in April 2008.

A) Nittany Group Class  (the Core Team):

Students selected to the Nittany Group Core Team will be automatically enrolled in COMM 497C to earn 3.0 COMM elective credits during the Spring term and will be graded on their performance and participation. Though the class will not be held until the Spring Term all students selected to the Core Team will be required to begin meeting as a team soon after the official selections are made in September in order to develop strategic research for the product and begin account planning. NOTE: COMM 497C is currently scheduled for Tuesdays 6:30-9:30 in the Spring. Students selected to the Core Team MUST be able to attend all class meetings in the Spring.

To be considered for the Nittany Group class, or Core Team, submit the following:
