About the Accounting Society

The Accounting Society is a professional development organization for the benefit of accounting majors. Throughout the semester, we schedule company-sponsored events in which a firm/company will speak about their company and usually a specific topic of interest is discussed. Topics include resume critiquing, interview tips, mock interviews, and etiquette. Most importantly at these events is the opportunity to network with the recruiters and representatives from the firms. They enjoy visiting Penn State and meeting our students to recruit them for internships and even full time jobs. So always bring your resume!

We also hold social and service events as well. Social events are for the purpose of networking students with their fellow peers in a comfortable atmosphere. Service events are co-sponsored by the Accounting Society and another firm to volunteer for a particular cause and provide a more laid back networking environment.
