Who Are We?
USITT@PSU is proud to call itself the largest and most active student chapter in the nation. We pride ourselves on being active not only in the theatre world but in the local community as well. Through the strong commitment from our membership body and good graces of the Penn State School of Theatre we have been able to organize events that act as both fundraisers for the organization and entertainment for the surrounding community. In addition to fundraisers for our organization, we also participate in the Penn State Dance Marathon, the world's largest student-run philanthropy. We are proud to contribute to the over $4 million raised annually by this event. |
Our Plan
The 2007-2008 year will be one of growth and development, as well as the continuation of many of our past goals that were successful. Highlights include continuing philanthropy efforts, specifically Behind the Scenes, and also attempting to involve our community. Other aspects include our high school education outreach program, and advancing public advocacy about USITT. We are also committed to hosting social activities within the organization, continuing fundraising efforts, specifically through a Café Press online store and concessions sales, and being an active participant in the 2008 national conference in Houston, TX. We also plan to enhance our contact with alumni through the completion of an alumni network. For full details please visit the complete plan. |
