Championship Results: Congratulations to the Men's Heavyweight Varsity 4+ (Conor O'Brien, Peter Fetzer, Ryan Laudermilch, Evan Hodes, Jennifer Hendriks) for their First Place Finish at the ACRA National Championship in Oklahoma City, OK.

Congratulations to Katy Hartz for being selected to the  2008 ACRA Mid-Atlantic All-Region Team , and congratulations to Conor O'Brien and Tracy Norman for being selected to the 2008 ACRA All-American Team Second Team.

    Spring 2006 General Announcements

  • May 15, 2006:
    -
    This past weekend the team wrapped up the season in Philadelphia, PA at the Dad Vail Regatta.  Eight crews competed on Saturday in a very strong showing for Penn State Crew.  Congratulations to the Men's Pair who placed 3rd, and the Women's Varsity 4+ who placed 1st in a field of 54 entries.
    - The Varsity Women's 4+ also competed at the ECAC Championships in Worcester, MA on Sunday, May14th, where they also placed 1st.

 

  • April 10, 2006:                                                                                                   - This past weekend the team traveled to Cherry Hill, NJ to compete at Knecht Cup.  It was a cold, muddy and wet weekend, full of delays and rescheduling events.  The Novice Women's 4 event was even cancelled.  Despite the poor weather on Saturday many Penn State boats were able to advance to finals on Saturday. The Novice Men's 4 finished 3rd in the petite final.  The two Women's Club 4's advanced to place 4th and 5th overall in their event.  The Men's Lightweight 4 finished 3rd in the grand final, and the Women's Varsity 4 took 1st place in the grand final and a bid to compete at the ECAC Championships in May.

  • March 26, 2006:                                                                                                - Take note to the updated race schedule.  There will be a match race on Sunday, April 30th in Pittsburgh against Carnegie Melon, Duquesne, and University of Pittsburgh.                                                                     - The fundraising checkpoint information in the members section has also been updated to reflect the adjusted totals due.

  • February 27, 2006:                                                                                         -Spring Break is less than a week away, so  just a reminder for everyone riding on the bus we are leaving Friday at 9pm from the Pollock Library.  Be there no later than 8:45.

  • February 25, 2006:                                                                  Natalie Dell, Tracy Norman, Janelle Tarter, Ann Morrissey, Elliot Heffner, Jon Golembiewski, and Mick Wanich traveled to Boston to compete at C.R.A.S.H.-B.'s World Indoor Rowing Championships.  All of the rowers did well, especially Natalie Dell took 19th place out of 333 rowers in her division.

  • February 20, 2006:                                                    Congratulations to Amanda Carr, Peter Vaiana, Abe Gitterman, and Andrew Kopping for dancing in THON this past weekend.  The Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon is a 48-hour no-sitting, no-sleeping fundraising event that benefits The Four Diamonds Fund, Conquering Childhood Cancer.
