The Penn State Women's Bowling team enjoyed another successful season in '06-'07. We won two tournaments this year, the AHIBC Youngstown and the Shippensburg Classic. We capped off our season with a second place finish in our Sectional Tournament in Allentown, PA, which led to a spectacular run at the USBC Collegiate Nationals in Wichita, KS, finishing tied for 3rd place in the country. We are expecting to continue our success into the upcoming '07-'08 season, especially since we were fortunate not to lose any of our players to graduation. We are also excited about the possibility of improving our games and seeing how far we can take our team in the year to come. Beyond the competitive focus the club also has members that don't travel. They are in the club because they enjoy bowling recreationally rather than competitively. They get together weekly to bowl, and have a good time. If you have any questions or comments about the club sign our guestbook, or use the contact us page. |
The Penn State Bowling Club is open to students of all skill and interest levels. The main focus of the club is to field teams to compete on a national level. The men's A team travels to around 10 tournaments throughout the year featuring Team Match Games in St. Louis, Missouri, and the Brunswick Coca-Cola Classic in Las Vegas, Nevada. The men's B team competes in 4 local tournaments. The men's C and D team will attend 2 local tournaments. The club will host our tournament, the Penn State Classic, held at Bellefonte Lanes during the Fall semester. Beyond the competitive focus, the club has members that don't travel. They are in the club because they enjoy bowling recreationally rather than competitively. They get together weekly to bowl and have a good time.
