The Student Government Association of the Penn State Hazleton Campus, usually shortened to SGA, is the association comprised of students from the campus who connects the student body on the Hazleton campus with the administration, faculty, and staff. The Hazleton SGA is broken down into five officers (President, Vice-President, Head of Senate, Secretary and Treasurer) and six committees (Academic Affairs, Disciplinary Committee, Student Life, Governmental Affairs, Student Affairs, and THON). The Association encourages community, and promotes all clubs and activities on campus. For a more elaborate explanation of what our Association does, feel free to read our Constitution.
If you have any questions in relation to SGA, or even anything related to campus, feel free to come talk to us! Our office is located in the lower level of the Butler Building in the club space. It is the very vibrant looking room after the entrance.
If you were unable to attend a meeting, simply click on the Minutes link at the top left of the screen to see what was talked about during this weeks minutes. If you are a senator and you missed this weeks senate meeting, than it is your responsibility to contact the Head Of Senate within 24 hours of the meeting so that you can be excused. Remember, once you have reached four unexcused absences you will be sent to the disciplinary committee to explain your case.
