Whats New?!

Hello All!

           It is never too late to join the Economics Association! If you are interested in joining just come to our next meeting and either $10 for the semester or $15 for the year will make you an official member! Membership for Fall 08' will officially close on Thursday, October 30th.

           There has been a few updates to the website including new pages dedicated to each of our 4 activities/events through out the year. Included in these updates is the new Stock Challenge page which will include resources for everyone to use along with the link to join the competition. Depending on how many members partake either the top 3 or the top 5 will win prizes and we will make this decision by October 1st along with the list of prizes. Remember in order to win any of the $300 in prizes you must be a due paying member of the EA. The

           There is still 20 or so slots open for the Golf Tournament and we will begin advertising to all Economics students starting soon. So if you feel like coming out for a nice Sunday afternoon of golf with fellow students and profs, check out the Golf Tournament tab above.

           I hope you all appreciate the new website for this year and there will be more to come. Feel free to email me with any feedback positive or negative.

Hello All,

          I am just sending out a brief message to let you all know our next meeting for the EA will be this Thursday September 11th at 6:00pm in 104 Thomas. On this weeks agenda will be the Golf Tournament and the Stock Market challenge. We will also have pizza and refreshments for everyone.

           As you can see we finally got around to updating the website and getting it current for the year I hope you like it. Our first meeting of the Fall is Tuesday September 2nd, 2008 in 303 Willard at 6:00pm. We will be discussing plans for the fall from our first annual golf outing to our first stock challenge. We will also be introducing the executive board and collecting dues for those who plan on joining the club. Dues this year will be $10 for the Fall or $15 for the entire year and with membership this year we are designing a t-shirt for all members.
