Capital Christian Fellowship

SECTION A. NAME AND PURPOSE

Article 1: This organization shall be known as Capital Christian Fellowship (CCF) and shall be nondenominational Christian in nature.

Article 2: CCF shall have expression in a community of believers studying God’s Word and sharing the love of our Lord Jesus Christ, through Christian Fellowship, Bible studies, activities, and individual outreach ministries to the campus and community at large.

SECTION B. MEMBERSHIP

Article 1: Membership in CCF shall be open to all undergraduate and graduate students, staff, and faculty of the Pennsylvania State University at Harrisburg, the Capital College.

Article 2: Associate membership in CCF shall be granted by the consent of the membership (Section E; Article 1), to all alumni of the Pennsylvania State University System; all students, staff, and faculty of the Harrisburg Area Community College, and the Pennsylvania State University Medical Center, along with any quest of a member of CCF.

Article 3: The sole requirement for membership or associate membership in CCF shall be a continual desire to know Jesus better and to grow closer to him.

SECTION C. LEADERSHIP

Article 1: Official positions of leadership within CCF, shall consist of a Leader, Assistant Leaders, (or C0-Leadership), Secretary and advisor(s).

Article 2: Official Leadership positions shall be filled by members of CCF (Section B; Article 1), having been an active member of the Fellowship for a minimum of one full semester, demonstrating interest for a position of leadership, exhibiting concern for the welfare of individuals within the Fellowship, and having met the consent of the members of CCF (Section E; Article 1).

Article 3: Responsibilities of the position of Leader or C0-Leaders, shall be defined by the consent of the members of CCF (Section E; Article 1).

Article 4: Responsibilities of the positions of Assistant Leaders and Secretary shall be defined by the Leader or Co-Leaders, having met the consent of the members of CCF (Section E; Article 1).

Article 5: An Advisor shall be a faculty or staff member of the Pennsylvania State University at Harrisburg, having demonstrated an interest in the purpose of CCF, and shall be appointed by consent of the membership of CCF (Section E; Article 1).

Article 6: No Associate Member of CCF may hold an official position of leadership, bet may from time to time, provide assistance when specifically requested by the Leadership of CCF (Section C; Article 1).

SECTION D. PASTOR/CHAPLAIN

Article 1: The Pastoral role shall be for the purpose of guidance, counseling, and teaching with the framework and consent of the Fellowship. The position may be filled by one or more persons (no official certification necessary), having shown an interest in the purpose of CCF and having the consent of the membership of CCF (Section E; Article 1).

SECTION E. DECISIONS

Article 1: Approval by the membership for the filling of all official leadership positions and Pastor/Chaplin position, changing the Constitution of CCF, and any position, action, or stand taken by CCF as a body, shall follow the method of prayerful consideration and discussion leading to a consensus of all members of CCF. If consensus is not possible, the Leader may institute a binding secret ballot in which the majority opinion will rule. If the secret ballot in dead lock, the decision shall rest solely with the Leadership of CCF (Section C; Article 1).

SECTION F. MEETINGS

Article 1: All meetings shall be determined by the Leadership of CCF (Section C; Article 1), with the consent of the members of CCF (Section E; Article 1).

SECTION G. RESTRICTIONS

Article 1: CCF will not tender any dues upon members or associate members (Section B; Articles 1,2), nor will there be collection of offerings at any CCF sanctioned events.
