TERRAIN: Very hilly.

CLIMBS:

First Climb; 2.0 miles long, taking you over Bald Eagle Mountain
Second Climb; 6.0 miles long, takes you to the top of Black Moshannon
Third Climb; 2.2 miles long, leads you back over Bald Eagle Mountain
Fourth Climb; .8 miles long, may seem trivial, but you have done so much climbing already.

POINTS OF INTEREST:Rolling hills of Moshannon State forest, the state park, and scenic overlooks along the way.

MILE DIRECTIONS

0.0 START Bus Stop on Curtin Road across from Beaver Stadium.

0.2 Heading away from campus, turn LEFT onto FOX HOLLOW RD.

0.6 Pass underneath RTE 322

2.2 Pass Toftrees, follow the sharp RIGHT hand bend onto FOX HILL RD.

3.7 Turn LEFT onto S. FILLMORE RD.

4.9 At the bottom of the hill, cross RTE 550 continuing on N. FILLMORE RD. Begin Climbing the first climb.

6.9 Reach the top of Bald Eagle Mountain.

9.1 Descend into Unionville. Cross RTE 550 onto RATTLESNAKE PIKE. Begin climbing to the top of Black Moshannon.

15.8 Reach the summit of the second climb in Black Moshannon State Forest.

20.0 Turn LEFT onto SR 302 along the mountain lake.

28.0 Reach the bottom of the mountain and cross RTE 220. Turn RIGHT immediately after the train tracks, then make the first possible LEFT turn onto JULIAN MTN RD. Start climbing the third climb.

30.2 Reach the top of Bald Eagle Mountain, road now becomes JULIAN PIKE.

31.9 Turn LEFT onto BUFFALO RUN RD (RTE 550).

34.5 Turn RIGHT onto BERNEL RD. Start climbing the last climb.

35.7 Turn RIGHT onto FOX HILL RD and return to campus.
