The committee is comprised of ten voting members, the SGA Budget Chair, SGA President, SGA Treasurer, and other student appointees. In addition, several staff members advise the committee as non-voting members. The budget request is a process through which registered clubs and organizations request funding from the Student Government Association.  The committee members review budget requests and then recommend allocations to SGA for approval. The funds allocated are used to finance programs and activities to improve the quality of student life at Behrend. The committee is also available to advise organizations in the preparation of budget requests and to provide information about alternative sources of funding. Budget meetings are closed to students.

Constitution Review
The committee reviews constitutions from new clubs to verify that they are following University policy before being accepted by the Student Government Senate. Every three years, clubs and organizations are asked to review and update their constitutions, at which point the committee also reviews any changes and if need be, presents these for approval of the senate.
