Copabanana Club at University City

Great eats, great drinks, and a convenient location for Penn State students? Who could ask for more right? How about great daily specials that help beat the wintertime chill, warm a tired heart, and relive the stress of mid terms and finals. If that isn’t enough for you however, you can find great music in the Underground club. You really shouldn’t drink on an empty stomach though so be sure to try the awesome burgers and Spanish fries before heading to the Underground and really getting the nightlife going.

Nightlife at The Blarney South

Traditional Irish fare is offered here in a hale and hearty package. From Irish stew to Shepherd’s pie and a few delicacies in between there is delicious food for the mind and soul. If you leave hungry ‘tis no fault of the fine folks at The Blarney South. In addition to the wonderful food you will also find an excellent selection of liquid refreshment for the tired tongue and entertainment to make the soul weep for the Irish countryside. The nightlife here may not be as hopping as other clubs but it is perfect for a great night out.

Laff House Comedy Club

Nothing eases the tension of college life and the pressures of academia better than a good laugh. Leave it to the talented weekend acts at Laff House Comedy Club or try open mic night for the real deep down inside laughter and a reason to be glad you do not have to rely on your sense of humor for a living. Laughter is most decidedly the best medicine for almost everything. Whenever you feel as though you are under an avalanche of stress it is time to take your funny bone out for a night on the town at Laff House. This is the sort of nightlife that every college student needs on occasion.

Cavanaugh’s River Deck for Awesome Nightlife

Cavanaugh’s is famous as the largest deck and outdoor dance floor in the city. In addition to the great dance floor, Cavanaugh's boasts some spectacular views, good drinks, and great food. The Deck is even available for a good time during winter weather with heated tents for your convenience. No matter what time of year it is, the nightlife is hopping at Cavanaugh’s River Deck. Be sure to check out the great daily specials to see what looks good on the menu as well as the budget at this great club.

The Rock Lobster Club

This is so much more than just any old restaurant. It’s a restaurant with a stunning view, a great food menu, and an even better drink menu. While the Rock Lobster Club may be out of the everyday Penn State student budget, for a very special event or occasion there are few places that could wow a date more than an evening at The Rock Lobster Club. While this is an awesome place to dine in the evening and a very impressive date at night, a good idea would be to come for lunch when the meals are a little less expensive. The food is still divine and the atmosphere remains quite elegant so a date at The Rock Lobster Club is still sure to impress whether it is day or evening. As you can see, the nightlife around Penn State is quite varied and exciting. You should never lack for variety when it comes to great things to do though the funds are entirely up to you.
