     Every year the K of C leave empty grocery bags at homes in the local neighborhoods by Penn State Behrend.  These bags have a note attached asking for non-perishable food and to leave them out the next Sunday to be picked up.  The following week, volunteers from the K of C pick up the bags and take the collected food to the Second Harvest food bank.  Over the years this effort has brought in close to 10 tons of food.  This fundraiser wouldn't be possible without the generosity of these neighborhood communities.
